Honorary Chairman Maurice R. Greenberg remarks on the 15th Anniversary of the Chinese Cultural Foundation 

The Chinese Cultural Foundation, also know as the U.S.-China Cultural Foundation (“CCF”), is a New York based 501(C)(3) non-profit and a special arts services organization, its mission is to share the finest Chinese and other Asian art and culture with the world. 

 

We believe that art and cultural serve as a catalyst in bringing people together from various economic, social and artistic sectors to enjoy and appreciate their common interests.  Art, music, dance, literature are all the elements that transcend our daily lives and make us realize that we are all part of a single global community; and that beauty has no national boundaries.

Announcing the Maurice R. Greenberg Global Leadership Award 

 

The Chinese Cultural Foundation welcomed 300 distinguished guests to its 2017 Gala dinner at the Yale Club to celebrate its 15th Anniversary and to announce the Maurice R. Greenberg Global Leadership Award on December 18th at Yale Club of New York City. 
 

The highlight of the evening was a special Conversation with Maurice R. Greenberg, Chairman and CEO of C.V. Starr & Companies. Chinese Ambassador Zhang Qiyue, Consul General in New York and Yale University President Peter Salovey, on the importance of culture and education in China-U.S. relations.

Co-Hosted The Panda Ball

 

New York City celebrated “The Pandas Are Coming to NYC” project with a highly successful Panda Ball held at the historic Waldorf Astoria Hotel.  

 

The event was sponsored by Maurice R. (“Hank”) Greenberg, Chairman of the Starr Foundation;  John A. Catsimatidis, Chairman of the Catsimatidis Family Foundation; Yue-Sai Kan, Emmy Award winner and acclaimed Chinese TV personality; Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney and Elizabeth B. Wang, Founder of the Chinese Cultural Foundation.

 

Ambassador Zhang Qiyue represented China at Mr. Greenberg’s head table. The event attracted approximately 500 of New York’s most prominent business and political leaders. The Panda Project has been endorsed by New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio and top business, cultural, political and philanthropic representatives from both the American and Chinese communities.

The Chinese Cultural Foundation in collaboration with the Rodin International Artists Foundation and the Asian Art Association of America presenting the debut of world renowned artist and sculptor, Ellen Qiongzhao Schicktanz's America historic large-scale sculptures at the ArtExpo New York, from March 30 to April 2, 2023.

This exhibition offers a rare opportunity to witness Ellen's iconic works of art in one place, gaining insight into the unique cultural and historical significance of each piece. It is an invitation to explore America's artistic legacy and the impact that these masterpieces have had on the art world and beyond.

The Chinese Cultural Foundation joined with the Rodin International Artists Foundation, the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, University of Pennsylvania School of Arts and Sciences, Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design at Drexel University, William Paterson University, and other local cultural organizations in supporting a special live demonstration and presentation of portrait sketch by renowned Chinese artist: Leng Jun "ART BORDERLESS" at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University on October 16, 2022.

The Chinese Cultural Foundation in partnership with the Rodin International Artists Foundation, American Goddess Art Museum, Japan-China International Cultural Exchanges Association, New York Hudson Center for Contemporary Arts, and other local cultural organizations to support a special online art exhibition of works by international renowned artists: "Walking with Great Art Masters - Eastern & Western Borderless" from September 25th through November 25, 2021.
