Mission

The Chinese Cultural Foundation, also know as the U.S.-China Cultural Foundation (“CCF”), is a New York based 501(C)(3) non-profit and a special arts services organization, its mission is to share the finest Chinese and other Asian art and culture with the world. 

 

Since its founding in 2003, CCF has provided the highest level of art snd cultural programs at many prestigious gatherings, including the World Cultural Summit at the Palace of Versailles in Paris, the World Economic Forum - China Business Summit at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Beyond East-West art exhibitions the United Nations, the National Arts Club, the Harvard Club, the Federal Hall National Memoral, and A Night of Cultural Splendor at Carnegie Hall in New York.

 

We believe that art and cultural serve as a catalyst in bringing people together from various economic, social and artistic sectors to enjoy and appreciate their common interests.  Art, music, dance, literature are all the elements that transcend our daily lives and make us realize that we are all part of a single global community; and that beauty has no national boundaries.

MAURICE R. GREENBERG

Maurice R. "Hank" Greenberg 莫里斯-格林伯格先生 is the Chairman and CEO of C.V. Starr & Co., Inc. and is the retired Chairman and CEO of American International Group, Inc. (AIG). Under his leadership AIG became the world's largest insurance and financial services company in history. 

Mr. Greenberg has played a significant role in advancing a positive relationship between China and the United States.  As a legendary global business leader, he is highly respected in China for helping to open the country's markets and encouraging China's integration into the global community. 

Mr. Greenberg has been named an honorary citizen of Shanghai, Wuhan, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Chongqing. Zhu Rongji, then-mayor of Shanghai, invited Mr. Greenberg to create the Shanghai International Business Leaders’ Advisory Council (IBLAC); he served an unprecedented two terms as IBLAC’s chairman. He was appointed as a senior economic advisor to the Beijing municipal government, and served as a member of the mayor’s advisory board in Beijing, when Wang Qishan was mayor. He has been a member of the International Consultative Conference on the Future Economic Development of Guangdong Province and served on the Hong Kong Chief Executive’s council of international advisors. He is a member of the advisory boards of the Tsinghua School of Economics and Management and Fudan School of Management, and a member of the international advisory councils of the China Development Research Foundation and the China Development Bank.

  • On June 6, 2014, at the 70th Anniversary celebration of D-Day at the Statue of Liberty in New York, Mr. Greenberg was awarded the France’s highest award, the Légion d’Honneur and the Bronze Star Medal from the United States for his service during World War II. 

  • On November 9, 2015, Mr. Greenberg received the insignia of Commandeur de l’Ordre National de la Legion d’Honneur recognizing his leadership and contributions as Chairman of AIG.

  • On December 18, 2018, Mr. Greenberg received China’s Reform Friendship Medal for helping open up China’s economy to the world.

Mr. Greenberg serves on the President’s Council on International Activities of Yale University,  Honorary Vice Chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations and Vice Chairman of the National Committee on United States-China Relations.  He is the past Chairman and Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.  He is active on the boards of many other civic and charitable organizations working in the United States and Asia.

Mr. Greenberg is Chairman Emeritus of the New York-Presbyterian Hospital, as a member of the Board of Overseers of the Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University, is a Trustee Emeritus of the Rockefeller University, a Life Trustee of New York University, former Chairman of the Asia Society, an Honorary Trustee of the Museum of Modern Art and Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Cultural Foundation.

 

Mr. Greenberg is Chairman of The Starr Foundation which has generously supported numerous educational, cultural, social, medical, environmental and philanthropic causes in the U.S., China and around the world.

Elizabeth B. Wang 王滨女士 

Founder of the Chinese Cultural Foundation, the Elizabeth Wang Gallery and Founding Members of the China Investment Group. Has organized major cultural events at the Palace of Versailles in Paris, the World Economic Forum and China-U.S. Business Summits in Beijing, the Institutional Investor - China Investment Forum in New York City and on numerous occasions at the United Nations, Bank of China, National Arts Club, Harvard Club, Yale Club, Carnegie Hall, Federal Hall and other prestigious venues. Maintains close relationships with Chinese and American business and cultural leaders and organizations. She was China's National Classical Dance Champion, graduated with Masters Degree in Arts Administration from City, University of London and Harvard Business School Women on Boards Program.

John W. Allen 約翰.艾伦先生

Chairman and CEO of Greater China Corporation.  Involved in Asia and China for over 30 years. Helped to found AIESEC in China and was Chairman of the Board of AIESEC, US and of AIESEC Yale. Headed the international investment subsidiary of the Bank of Boston and was Assistant to Sir James D. Wolfensohn at Schroder Bank and Trust. Served as President of the International Securities Exchange Corporation. Was Trustee of the Soros Open Society Institute and Trustees of the International Science Foundation with George Soros and Nobel Laureate James Watson. He has also served as Director of the World Policy Institute and the Business Council of the United Nations. Received his BA from Yale University and MBA from Harvard Business School.

Ta Chun Hsu 徐大春先生 

former President of The Starr Foundation, was born in Beijing, China in 1918. He attended the University of Shanghai and was graduated with a B.S. in economics (Class of 1942) from Haverford College in Haverford, Pennsylvania. He earned his Masters Degree at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in 1944, and later studied insurance at Golden Gate College in San Francisco, California. In 1964, Mr. Hsu joined C.V. Starr & Co. as Assistant to the late Cornelius Vander Starr, at that time Chairman of the Board. He was elected Director and Executive Vice President of The Starr Foundation. In 1969 he was named President of the Starr Foundation and served in that capacity until March 1999.

Dorothy Y. Dong 董颖女士 is a highly experienced investment and corporate finance professional with over 20 years of experience.

 

She is currently the President of Starr International Investment Advisors (Asia) Limited and Chairman of Starr Property & Casualty (China) Co., Ltd, where she oversees investment activities for Starr Asia. Prior to joining Starr, she held leadership positions at AIG Global Investment Corp. (Shanghai) Ltd. and Anglo Chinese Finance Limited. She holds a Bachelor's degree in law from Shanghai University, an MBA from McGill University, and is a CFA charterholder.

 

In addition to her successful career in finance, she is also a poet, plays classical Chinese music, and is passionate about art and literature. She is Chairwoman in China of the Chinese Cultural Foundation.

Xinle Ma 马欣乐先生 is Vice President of China Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, Senior Art Advisor and Executive Vice President of the Chinese Cultural Foundation. 

 

As a highly esteemed artist, Xinle’s paintings have been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world. Many of his artworks can be found in public institutions, museums and private collections, including former U.S. President William Bill Clinton, David Rockefeller and China former Premier Wen Jiabao.  Also in corporate collections and government monumental buildings. In 2016 his painting “The Nine Galloping Horses”, was presented to The Queen Elizabeth II on her 90th Birthday, as a State gift from the People’s Republic of China.

 

In 2018 his painting “Happiness Greetings Every Household” was selected as the only artist’s work to be printed on Moutai - China’s National Liquor, as the 2019 collectible wine to be distributed worldwide.

Jun Wei 魏军女士, Director and Co-Chair of China. She is a distinguished Senior Counsel based in New York.  Her exceptional leadership includes a tenure as the Chair of the Greater China practice and two terms on the Board of Hogan Lovells.

With expertise in corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and project financing,

Jun Wei's exceptional legal career has earned her prestigious accolades, including being named one of the ALB China Top 15 Female Lawyers in both 2018 and 2015, as well as recognition as one of the 2017 ALB China Top M&A Lawyers by Asian Legal Business. She is a member of the Leadership Council of Asia at Harvard Law School.

Ingrid Strange

Ingrid Strange 英格瑞女士, Founder and Chair of Partnership for Change,  Board member of Norwegian Climate Foundation, FjordIT. Impact investor - Member of Toniic. For the past 25 years, she has focused on philanthropy and social change, establishing the first Montessori School in Norway, and helped build several new Montessori schools, building charities for youth and children, and establishing philanthropic initiatives in the third world. She also serviced as advisory board member at Sahara Forest Project, the Oslo Center and Vice chair of Civita, a leading Norwegian think tank. Active investor in social and sustainable business startups.

Served at McKinsey and venture capital. Received MBA from UC Berkeley and Norwegian School of Economics and Business  Administration (MSc).

Komuro Hiromi

Dr. Komuro Hiromi 小室熙美女士, is closely associated with many senior Japanese government officials and business leaders. One of these is Mr. Kazuo Inamori, a famous Japanese entrepreneur and the founder of Kyocera and KDDIand former Chairman of Japan Airlines. 

She was Chief Representative and Advisor to major Japanese, Chinese and European companies. These include: Japan Ishigaki, Hanshin Power, Komatsu, Fujiman, Osaka Gas Company,  Beijing SINOPEC, CNPC Guangzhou Petroleum, Shanghai Baosteel, Qingdao Shengli Petroleum and German, Danish and other companies. 

Dr. Komuro Hiromi has a EMBA and Ph.D. in  Economics from Tsinghua University. She is Member of the Alumni Association of Tsinghua University and Japan-China Friendship Association in Japan,

Jonathan A. Krane 金瑞先生 is a successful entrepreneur, author and founder and Chief Executive Officer of KraneShares, an asset management firm delivering China and climate-focused exchange-traded funds to global investors. KraneShares focuses on providing expert access and products for investors to gain exposure to innovative capital market opportunities in China, climate, and other asset classes. Jonathan has spent the last twenty years working with companies in China.

 

He previously founded a leading media and entertainment company in China, which was later sold to a publicly-traded multi-national corporation. Jonathan has extensive experience and expertise in event management and cultural exchange, He has organized numerous concerts featuring America's iconic musicians in China, including the first concert in Beijing featuring Whitney Houston in July 2004, as well as performances by the Rolling Stones, Beyoncé, Eric Clapton, Celine Dion, Linkin Park, and the Backstreet Boys among the most popular headliners.  He is also the principal owner of Queensboro FC, an American professional soccer team based in Queens, New York, which is a member of the USL Championship League. 

 

Jonathan received an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Connecticut College. He is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).

Bing Wen, 文兵先生 General Manager of New York Branch of China CITIC Bank International Limited. He has long term working experience in large US financial institutions in New York. He had been worked as Director in Global Portfolio Management at Citigroup Corporate and Investment Bank, Director at Risk Management Group of American Express. Before joining China CITIC Bank International, he also served senior positions at a couple of large Chinese banks. He was the General Manager of New Capital Accord Office at China Merchants Bank in China and has been served as the Chief Risk Officer at Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, New York Branch.  Mr. Wen was also a senior risk professional and teaching instructor at China Banking Association. Mr. Wen holds a bachelor and master degree from School of Economic and Management, Tsinghua University and a CFA charter holder.

Cynthia DiBartolo, Esq.  Fonder and CEO of Tigress Financial Partners, Chair of the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce, former business leader to the White House Business Council.  She served as NYS Governor's Ten Points Women's Initiative.  She is Vice President of the Women's Syndicate Association and on the Board of Villanova University, Charles Widger School of the Law.  Cynthia has 35 years of accomplishment-laden practice working in finance aligned with Fortune 500 companies, driving achievements in revenue growth, brand expansion and new offerings. April Riddle Gow  艾菩 . 高女士 has held numerous executive positions in the private and not-for-profit sectors. She is currently President and co-Founder of Gow & Partners, and has been Director of Marketing & Fund Raising for the Theatre Development Fund in New York and the Director of Cultural Marketing for Aetna. She is a member of the board of the Afghanistan World Foundation, World Policy Institute and was President and Founder of the American Friends of the London Symphony Orchestra and First Chairwoman of the Cultural Patrons of Asia House.

Bin Wang 王斌先生 has over 25 years of management experience in China and on Wall Street,  including JP Morgan Chase & Co. and heritage Chemical Bank. He now serves as an independent consultant, to provide strategic advisory service to the large and middle-size Chinese companies coming to the U.S. and going global.

Dr. David K. Jin 詹建强博士 Chief Medical Officer at BioTime Inc. (NYSE/AMEX: BTX) has been selected by ExecRank as a "Top Chief Medical Officer" for 2012.  Dr. Jin has worked for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as medical reviewer for oncology product development. Recently, Dr. Jin has been appointed by China's Ministry of Health as external adviser and member of the evaluation committee for MOH's Third Category Medical Treatment Technology, as well as adviser to the Chinese-UK "Dynasty Project" to establish an international collaborative zone for clinical medicine in Wuhan BioLake.

Andrea Catsimatidis 安卓女士 Executive at the Red Apple Group with activities in Real Estate, Investments, Insurance and Philanthropy. She was named as one of the 15 most influential students at New York University for her leadership as President of the NYU College Republicans. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of her family's foundation and has developed her own philanthropic interests with China, which she has visited many times, and with its many cultural contributions to our global society.
