Chinese Cultural Foundation Co-Hosted The Panda Ball

New York City celebrated “The Pandas Are Coming to NYC” project with a highly successful Panda Ball held at the historic Waldorf Astoria Hotel.  

 

The event was sponsored by Maurice R. (“Hank”) Greenberg, Chairman of the Starr Foundation;  John A. Catsimatidis, Chairman of the Catsimatidis Family Foundation; Yue-Sai Kan, Emmy Award winner and acclaimed Chinese TV personality; Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney and Elizabeth B. Wang, Founder of the Chinese Cultural Foundation.

 

Ambassador Zhang Qiyue represented China at Mr. Greenberg’s head table. The event attracted approximately 500 of New York’s most prominent business and political leaders. The Panda Project has been endorsed by New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio and top business, cultural, political and philanthropic representatives from both the American and Chinese communities.
